Poster Printing

Information Technology maintains a high-quality poster printer.  Usage is reserved for academic work (i.e. we can’t print posters for your residence hall room).

WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PRINT POSTERS IF THEY ARE SENT TO US ON THE SAME DAY.

SIZE:  The width of the poster printer roll is 36 inches.

Therefore, one side of your poster can be no larger than 36 inches.

COST:  $7.00 per linear foot

Sizes are round up to the nearest linear foot; e.g. a 20 inch poster would be 2 linear feet.  Posters that use excessive ink (i.e. a solid black background with white text) may incur additional charges. A typical poster (36 inches by 48 inches) will cost $28.00.

Posters for in-class presentations and I.S. orals are billed directly to departmental accounts.  Posters for organizations or departments are billed directly to the department account.  Students printing posters for conferences can supply an account number from their grant or academic department.  We do not accept any other forms of payment.

*If you have an urgent need for a poster both Staples and Buehler’s (Milltown) offer poster printing services.

POSTER GUIDELINES:

NOTE:  We will not print your poster unless it is formatted correctly.  Please follow the documentation before submitting.

The maximum width per poster is 36 inches.
Only .PDF files can be submitted.  If you use another program to create your poster, please convert the file to a .PDF.

If you need help designing your poster, first check the poster printing documentation on the documentation wiki  including Creating a Poster Using PowerPoint, Creating a Poster Using Pages, and Printing a Poster.

If you run into problems, please don’t hesitate to e-mail helpdesk@wooster.edu or stop by the Help Desk on the 4th Floor of Morgan Hall Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm.
